SOUTH JORDAN — The 2017 Salt Lake County Fair is set to run Wednesday through Saturday at the Salt Lake County Equestrian Park, 2100 West and 11400 South.
Entrance to the fair is free. Parking is $10 per car, and tickets to special events and the City of Fun Carnival are available through saltlakecountryfair.com.
Fair hours are 5 to 10 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, noon to 10 p.m. Friday, and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday. Carnival hours are 6 to 10 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 4 to 11 p.m. Friday, and noon to 11 p.m. Saturday.
The 85,000-square-foot equestrian arena hosts classic fair competitive events, including creative arts and ceramics, home arts featuring sewing and foods, photography, fine arts and floriculture.
Thursday night’s main event is the Circle J Rodeo, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 for those 16 and older and $5 for those 2-15 years old.
On Friday, country artist Joe Diffie will headline at the fair at 6 p.m. Free tickets for the concert are available at the Salt Lake County Equestrian Center park office or all Burt Brothers and Tires and Service locations.
During the Monster Truck Racing League show presenting King Krunch, patrons will be treated to FMX Freestyle Motorcross on Saturday. The pit opens at 6 p.m. Tickets feature are $10 for children 2-15 and $15 for those 16 and older.
Free events and activities are offered daily, including the Ivie Petting Zoo, pony rides, Salt Lake’s Got Talent shows, musical entertainment, color throws every hour and foam parties.
