We worked alongside Chris Herrod on the Ted Cruz presidential campaign here in Utah last year – in which Chris served as State Director. He impressed us with his tenacity, courage, and commitment to principle under pressure, and he wasn’t afraid to buck the status quo. He is the kind of person Utah needs in Washington – someone who won't play political games, but will stand courageously for religious liberty, the life of the unborn, the rule of law, and the Constitution.

Early in last year’s presidential primary, most political insiders and the media didn’t give Ted Cruz much of a chance to win Utah. But that didn’t deter Chris. Because he passionately believes in the conservative principles Cruz articulated, he, with our help, led the way to amassing nearly 70 percent of the vote for Cruz in the state’s presidential caucuses. Chris (and several of us) also helped Cruz in other states.

Ted Cruz has endorsed Chris Herrod, and recently campaign with him in Utah.

From working with Chris, we’ve seen firsthand that he isn’t involved politically for his own aggrandizement. He sincerely believes in our Constitution and is trying to preserve our founding ideals. During his time in the Utah legislature, for example, he earned the reputation as someone who will stand by his principles and who isn’t afraid to go against the grain. He has also demonstrated that he can build coalitions of support to get things done.

As your Congressman Chris will: Stand up against governmental intrusion into our lives – beginning with fully repealing “Obamacare;” develop Utah’s energy resources; stop the federal government from taking Utah’s land; protect America from illegal immigration by upholding the rule of law; protect innocent human life; preserve the traditional family; protect the right to bear arms; take back rule-making authority usurped by the executive branch and return it to the legislative branch; work to require that all authority not specifically granted to the federal government by the U.S. Constitution be returned to the States and to the people; and rein in unchecked federal spending.

We have the rare opportunity to nominate someone who will not only make our state proud, but who isn’t afraid to take the reins and lead. We ask you to please cast your vote for Chris Herrod.

Sincerely,
