https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xXZhXTFWnESALT LAKE CITY — In addition to being Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday, Monday, Jan. 15, marked the nationwide celebration of the minister and activist's legacy in the civil rights movement.

To continue honoring the Rev. King, we look back on an account of the man's life given two years ago by Robby Novak — aka Kid President.

In a message that's simultaneously simplistic and thought-provoking, Kid President says, "When things aren't awesome, it can be tough. And things won't always be awesome, but your response can be. Martin Luther King's response? It was awesome. … Isn't it cool that we can change things? Like any of us — anybody. (Martin Luther King Jr.) dreamed and he changed things. And he dreamed and he kept sharing his dreams. They became not just his dreams — a lot of people's dreams."
