EDEN, Weber County — A man from Guatemala was killed Wednesday evening when a cargo truck rolled on Powder Mountain Road.

Weber County Sheriff's deputies found the truck overturned on state Route 158 between Powder Mountain Resort and Eden just before 5 p.m. A passenger in the truck, Carlos Guzman Hernandez, 37, who had been thrown from the truck, was pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff's office reported.

Investigators believe brake failure may have contributed to the crash, according to the sheriff's office. The road was closed while police processed the scene.
