SALT LAKE CITY — Police say they are investigating a homicide after finding the body of a man who had gone missing.
Salt Lake police asked for the public's help early Friday afternoon finding David Stokoe. They said they were helping South Jordan police in the search.
By late afternoon, the Salt Lake Police Department tweeted that there were "suspicious circumstances" surrounding his disappearance.
Before Stokoe was found, South Jordan Police Lt. Matt Pennington said Stokoe was last in contact with his wife Thursday night. He works in real estate and had gone to check on a property in Salt Lake City.
"Our condolences to family and friends. We will work hard to bring those responsible to #Justice," Salt Lake police tweeted.
Additional details about Stokoe or the circumstances surrounding his death were not immediately available.
