PROVO — Salt Lake Community College guard Spencer Johnson announced via Twitter Friday morning that he has committed to play for the BYU basketball program next season.

Johnson enrolled at Weber State after averaging 19.7 points and 7.3 rebounds per game at American Fork High in 2015-16.

Johnson transferred from Weber State last December before enrolling at SLCC. His younger brother, 6-foot-11 Isaac, is a four-star recruit that signed with Oregon.
