A terrifying and breathtaking video of a tornado that touched down in Dallas Sunday night has been making the rounds on social media.
The video shows a tornado touching down outside of the Texas city with lightning flashing in the distance.
The tornado left more than 100,000 people without power as a severe storm system rushed through the Great Plains, according to CNN. Police officials went door-to-door checking on people who might be trapped in their homes, buildings and offices.
“It felt kind of like an earthquake,” one witness told CBSDFW.com. Ken Molestina. “It started moving the house around; a lot of whistling… a lot of wind. It lasted like three minutes.”
Social media user Aamer Alasaad tweeted a video in which he said he was inside the tornado at the time it landed.
More images and videos surfaced online, too.
