SALT LAKE CITY — The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square will announce the featured guests for its 2019 Christmas Concert this Friday, and with it launches a new process for requesting tickets.

“Hundreds of thousands of ticket requests are received each year,” according to the choir’s website. “In order to give everyone an equal chance to get tickets, in 2019 the Event Services Ticket Office which distributes tickets for choir events will use a random selection method for ticket distribution.”

According to the choir’s website, everyone who registers will have “an equal chance of getting tickets regardless of when they register during the sign-up period.” The sign-up period will run from Friday, Oct. 25, at noon to Sunday, Nov. 3, at midnight.

The dates of the 2019 Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert will be Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Dec. 12-14, at 8 p.m.

A My Temple Square Tickets Account is required in order to request tickets. According to the choir’s website, registration will automatically enter individuals in the random ticket selection for two tickets, with the concert date for the tickets being randomly assigned for those selected.

Registering does not guarantee tickets, and the results of the random selection will be communicated by email.
