The Christmas concert from the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square is no stranger to Broadway performers. Last year’s concert featured Kristin Chenoweth, and previous years have seen singers such as Laura Osnes and Brian Stokes Mitchell.
This year’s guest artist, Kelli O’Hara, will be joining these performers as a fellow Broadway star.
O’Hara is a Tony Award-winning actress who has starred in 11 Broadway performances over the past 25 years, according to Variety.
In 2015, O’Hara starred as Anna in “The King and I,” for which she was awarded a Tony for Best Actress, The New York Times reported. However, she has received seven Tony Award nominations over her career, most recently for this year’s performance in “Kiss Me, Kate.”
O’Hara has performed off-stage, as well. She received an Emmy for her performance in “The Accidental Wolf” in 2018, and she also had a role in Netflix’s “Thirteen Reasons Why.”
Most recently, she has signed on to the Netflix adaptation of “All the Bright Places,” which will be released in 2020.
In addition to being featured on albums of cast performances, O’Hara has two solo albums, “Wonder in the World” and “Always.”
O’Hara will be performing with the Tabernacle Choir at its annual Christmas concert Dec. 12-14, the Deseret News reported on Friday.
