Disney released a new trailer for their live-action remake of “Mulan” on Thursday.

A teaser trailer for the upcoming film was released this summer and focused on the character of Mulan growing into a warrior, according to the Deseret News.

The new trailer expands on the previously released footage and introduces viewers to new characters, including a new villain, Xianning, played by Gong Li, according to ScreenRant.

“Mulan” will remake the 1998 animated Disney film of the same name, following in the success of other recent live-action Disney remakes, such as “The Lion King,” “Aladdin,” and “Beauty and the Beast.”

“It’s the timeless story we love, but in live action, it’s real,” said the film’s director, Niki Caro, at D23 in August, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “That’s the thing I’m most excited about. For people to experience her story in a very real, very visceral and a very emotional way.”
