You probably won’t find any Baby Yoda toys out there this holiday season. And it may be costing Disney millions of dollars.

The news: A new report from Jungle Scout, a company that helps Amazon merchants with their sales, found that Disney may have lost out on millions of dollars because of the lack of Baby Yoda toys and merchandise for the holiday season, per TheWrap.

By the numbers: Disney will likely lose out on about $2.7 million in revenue because of the lack of Baby Yoda products.

  • The report found Amazon customers searched for Baby Yoda product 90,000 times from November to December. “The Mandalorian” received 126,000 searches, according to TheWrap.

Yes, but: You can order a new Funko-Pop! Baby Yoda toy, which won’t ship until May 2020.

Next: Hasbro confirmed to Vanity Fair that it won’t have any Baby Yoda products available for the 2019 holiday shopping season. Instead, the toys will be available in 2020.

Why?: Well, according to ScreenRant, “it’s fairly common for toy designs and packaging to leak online, something Disney was undoubtedly aware of. Since (showrunner Jon) Favreau and (writer Dave) Filoni wanted to save Baby Yoda as a surprise for viewers tuning in to see what was sold as ‘the bounty hunter show,’ Disney couldn’t take the risk of anything coming out early. The studio doesn’t share all spoilers with toy manufacturers, so there’s a chance Baby Yoda was a huge twist for Hasbro as well.”
