SALT LAKE CITY — “Fortnite” released its latest weekly challenges on Thursday, and one of them requires you to search for buried treasure.
“Fortnite” is a free-to-play battle royale game that offers weekly challenges for gamers. Completing these challenges gives gamers a chance to unlock new content, like character skins, in-game currency and banners to include in their avatars.
Treasure maps: For week four of season eight, one of the challenges includes finding a buried treasure.
- Finding buried treasure is actually pretty simple if you’ve been playing the game at all during this season. You’ll want to find a treasure map, which can be found as floor loot or in chests in various locations in the game.
- Once you pick up the map, a golden ray of light will shine across the map. Head to that spot. Take out your harvesting tool — a pickax that gamers use to knock down trees in the game — and begin to dig into the ground. You will discover the treasure there.
- As I reported before, the “Fortnite” treasure chests all include legendary items for you to use.
