SALT LAKE CITY — “Avengers: Endgame” actor Mark Ruffalo wasn’t sure if the Hulk died in “Infinity War” or not.

Ruffalo said in a recent interview with Yahoo Entertainment that he filmed two scenes during the making of “Infinity War.” In one, his character, the Hulk, died from Thanos’ Snap. In the other, the green giant survived.

Those who saw the film know that the Hulk ultimately survived the snap and will appear in “Avengers: Endgame.” But Ruffalo didn’t know this was the case until he actually saw “Infinity War” for the first time.

“I didn’t know until I saw the movie,” Ruffalo told Yahoo. “For one take, I did disappear, and then the other one I didn’t. I was pretty sure it was gonna be me. It’s like ‘Survivor.’ It’s like, who’s gonna get kicked off the island? And I probably should’ve. It’s like ‘Project Runway’ for leakers.”

According to IndieWire, the decision for Ruffalo to film two scenes makes sense because of his history of dropping “Avengers” spoilers. For example, he live-streamed the first 10 minutes of “Thor: Ragnarok” during its premiere and he said nearly everyone died in “Infinity War” about a year before the film dropped.
