The Utah Starzz drafted former Taylorsville High standout Natalie Williams with the third overall pick in the WNBA draft.

Williams was MVP of the defunct American Basketball League the season before, leading the league in scoring and rebounding.

The two-sport athlete at UCLA who was named the Pac-10’s athlete of the decade played four seasons with the Starzz and then three more with the Indiana Fever.
