SALT LAKE CITY — I finally saw “Avengers: Endgame” — but it came with a price.

I attended the Marvel Studios movie marathon event at the Megaplex Theatres last week. We watched all 22 Marvel Cinematic Universe films back to back to back to back in the lead-up to “Avengers: Endgame,” which earned $1.2 billion in its first weekend.

The marathon took nearly 60 hours, beginning with “Iron Man” and ending with “Endgame.”

I slept in the movie theater for the marathon. It was such a grind. I searched high and low for dinner. I ate five buckets of popcorn and drank nearly a dozen cups of soda. I was swarmed with the stench of smelly feet.

And I survived.

My coverage generated enough buzz that CNN reached out and chatted with me about the experience, too.
