SALT LAKE CITY — The BYU Cougarettes are national champions … again.
The dance team won the Division IA national titles in both jazz and hip hop.
According to a BYU press release, the Cougarettes have won 19 national championships since 1997.
Here’s where BYU finished in the 2019 jazz championship on Friday. BYU’s score was the highest ever total in that jazz competition.

Reaction: "I was very proud of the way we performed," Cougarettes coach Jodi Maxfield said in a press release. "We fought hard on stage for both titles with a lot of commitment, unity and love. I'm so proud of all the hard work we put in this year to achieve the goal of winning two national titles."

- BYU has now won five NDA open division/jazz IA championships and six NDA hip hop Division IA championships. The team has also won eight NDA team performance Division IA championships.
