SALT LAKE CITY — Veteran "Star Wars" actor Mark Hamill is celebrating May the Fourth all month on Twitter.
Hamill, who plays Luke Skywalker in six "Star Wars" films, including this year’s “The Rise of Skywalker,” asked his Twitter followers on May 1 if he should tweet out quirky “May the” messages throughout the month.
Following the poll, 78% of 48,172 voters indicated his fans were all for the daily advent tweets.
Hamill complied by tweeting “May the 1st Not Be Cursed” and “May The 2nd Thought You Harbor Not Haunt You Forever” for the first two days of the month.
Last year the actor tweeted these messages through the whole month of May, ending on May 31.
Fans jumped in, replying they were excited for Hamill’s tweets. Some also offered their own take on his tweets.
