SALT LAKE CITY — Current “Jeopardy!” champion James Holzhauer will appear on the MLB Network’s “MLB Now” program on Tuesday.
Holzhauer will join Brian Kenny, Eric Byrnes and Joel Sherman on Tuesday at 2 p.m. MT (4 p.m. ET).
Holzhauer will speak about his lifelong dream to work in the MLB and his thoughts about his “Jeopardy!” strategy.
Holzhauer tweeted that he is currently on a 16-day break from “Jeopardy!”
“MLB Now” will include a special “Jeopardy!”-style version of the “Think Baseball” question that will test Holzhauer’s baseball trivia skills, according to a press release emailed to the Deseret News.
“MLB Now” is a one-hour, live panel show that covers breaking news and MLB topics.
Holzhauer tweeted before that he has a strong interest in joining the MLB in some fashion.
“I always dreamed of working in an MLB front office and ruining baseball, but I have to settle for ruining @Jeopardy instead,” he said, according to my report for the Deseret News.
According to The Athletic, at least one MLB team has considered Holzhauer for its front office, which I wrote about for the Deseret News.
Holzhauer told MLB.com that he could be a general manager.
“I kind of put it aside the last 10 years or so, but when I was a teenager, I was idolizing guys like Billy Beane and Theo Epstein, who were really bringing the statistical revolution to the masses,” he said. “I don’t know if I’m the kind of networking/interpersonal skills guy who could become a GM, but being a guy who can help the team on making decisions on which guys to trade for and sign as free agents, that was the dream back then.”
