Utah Muslims gathered Tuesday at the Classic Fun Center in Sandy to celebrate Eid al-Fitr, the three-day holiday marking the end of Ramadan. Ramadan is the ninth month on the Islamic lunar calendar during which Muslims abstain from food, drink and other sensual pleasures from break-of-dawn to sunset. During the holiday, Muslims exchange social visits and seek to strengthen bonds of brotherhood in the community.
