On their YouTube channel, Bored Shorts TV says that they specialize in “laughter for all ages.” Most of their videos, like their Kid History series, show the Roberts brothers acting out stories told by children. However, in their newest video Randy Roberts is looking for some understanding in his dental practice when people forget that dentists have feelings too.
Using a parody of Adele’s “Hello,” the Roberts brothers show the different sides of going to the dentist: the terrified patient who monopolizes the dentist’s time, the patient on the “other side” of the wall waiting for the dentist, an exasperated mother who has told her children to take care of their teeth “at least a thousand times” and the dentist’s perspective.
Randy, who is an actual dentist when he is not filming, vents his frustration at patients who refuse to floss, resist having the work done and even run away when he is just trying to help them. “Hello from the dentist’s side,” Randy sings. “My work it gives me so much pride. But I know that you hate me. I’m just trying to help you. And you never remember that I have feelings too.”
