He's like a brother to me. – Brady Stuart

MILLVILLE — Most kids don't take the news of a family move well. They wish they could stay and play with their friends. Well, Ridgeline High School junior wide receiver Sam Weda got that wish.

Weda's family moved to Iowa after his father accepted a job but Weda wanted to stay. It took some time but he finally convinced his family to let him stay in Cache Valley.

"My family seems to be taking it pretty good. But deep down they'd probably rather have me there," said Weda.

Weda is currently staying with fellow Ridgeline Riverhawk Brady Stuart.

"He's like a brother to me," said Stuart. "All of my siblings have recently moved out, so he fits in and he's basically like a brother to me and we get along really well."

Weda was staying with another family last year before he moved in with Stuart as the school year started.

The wide receiver is just a junior so he's still deciding whether to stay or move to Iowa with his family for his senior year.
