WEST VALLEY CITY — NFL and college football teams seem to be moving away from the traditional running game and are now throwing the ball deep a lot more, but not the Granger Lancers.
The Lancers run an old-school offense that relies on strong running backs and big, fast offensive linemen. The double-wing offense is a dying offense, especially in the state of Utah, but coach Mike Morgan is keeping it alive with the help of some of the best running backs in the state in Sione Houma and Amata "Rhino" Tavai.
