SALT LAKE CITY — The first trailer for Greta Gerwig’s adaptation of “Little Women” has finally arrived.
Gerwig, who directed “Lady Bird” back in 2017, will team up with Saoirse Ronan and Timothee Chalamet for the adaptation of the classic novel, which centers around four young women who grow up during the time of the Civil War.
The film boasts a really, really strong cast, including Emma Watson, Meryl Streep, Laura Dern, Chris Cooper and Bob Odenkirk, among several others, per Variety.
“Women, they have minds and they have souls as well as just hearts,” Ronan’s character Jo says in the trailer. “And they’ve got ambition and they’ve got talent as well as just beauty. And I’m so sick of people saying that love is just all a woman is fit for.”
