PROVO — Brigham Young University has appointed Paul Barton as the new director of residence life at Brigham Young University.

Residence life supports BYU students in their on- and off-campus living experiences.

”Paul is a strong advocate of the student experience and skillfully leads his staff to create an environment where students can succeed,” Julie Franklin, the university’s vice president of student life, said in a statement.

Prior to his appointment, Barton worked in various roles in residence life since 1992, most recently as an assistant director.

He has a bachelor’s degree in business management from BYU.
