What happened: Spotify will now have the ability to play songs, albums and playlists using Siri, according to The Verge. The latest beta versions of the Spotify app, which is available with the latest iOS 13.1 update, has this capability.
The Spotify change joins a host of other music-related changes for Apple, putting Spotify on the same level as Apple Music.
However: The new feature does not work on an Apple Watch.
The new feature doesn’t work on Apple Watch. The two probably won’t integrate well until Spotify releases an app for the watch, according to Engadget.
“At Spotify, we routinely conduct a number of tests in an effort to improve our user experience,” the company said in a statement, according to Engadget.
When: Though this is only in beta, Spotify will likely release this to general public soon, Digital Trends reports.
