“Fox Nation” host Tomi Lahren said her fiance Brandon Fricke is running for Congress in California.

“Proud to announce my fiancé @BrandonFrickeCA will be taking on @tedlieu in 2020 for California’s 33rd district!” Lahren tweeted.

Fricke will campaign against Democratic Rep. Ted Lieu, who is a noted Trump critic, according to USA Today. Fricke will run as an independent candidate, even though he’s a supporter of President Donald Trump. Fricke previously played quarterback for Central Michigan University, Yahoo! Lifestyle reported.

In a campaign video released Monday, Fricke said he’s against a high cost of living and seeing local businesses closed down.

“The troubles we face are not partisan problems, they’re problems that affect us all,” Fricke said.

Fricke said he wants to fix the district’s homelessness problem, too.

“The sight of tents, trash, feces and needles littering our public spaces has become ordinary,” he said in the video. “We must not only show compassion for the disadvantaged, but for the hard-working constituents who abide by the laws and are just trying to live their lives in the district that we all fell in love with.”

Back in July, Lahren got engaged to Fricke, according to Deseret News.

“I love you more and those are my Final Thoughts and you are my forever,” she wrote in that Instagram post.
