A drone strike last week that killed Gen. Qassem Soleimani, the head of Iran’s elite Quds Force, and a retaliatory missile strike Wednesday on an Iraqi air base housing U.S. troops have increased U.S.-Iran hostilities, The Associated Press reported. Recent events follow tension between the countries being high for much of President Donald Trump’s first term.
