On Sunday as news spread that Utah Jazz All-Star Donovan Mitchell will sign a contract extension that will keep him with the team for five years after the upcoming season, a number of his teammates extended their congratulations on social media.

New Jazz draftee Elijah Hughes, who has arrived in Salt Lake City, also congratulated Mitchell in an Instagram Live video, but perhaps the best reaction so far has come from Eric Paschall, the second-year Golden State Warriors forward who has been Mitchell’s closest friend since the two were youngsters.
