The popular singer Sia has become a grandmother at age 44, and in a surprising way.

What happened:

  • Sia said on a recent broadcast of DJ Zane Lowe’s Apple Music podcast that one of her two adopted sons recently became a father, according to People magazine.
  • She said: “My youngest son just had two babies. I’m a ... grandma! I know, right. I’m just immediately horrified.”
  • Her boys call her “Nana.” She wants to be called Lovey, similar to the nickname given to Kris Jenner of the Kardashian/Jenner empire.

Some extra context:

  • Sia said two weeks ago that she adopted two boys from the foster care system back in 2019. The two boys were 18 years old when she adopted them, according to CNN.
  • Sia said the process made her feel jaded about the foster system.
