Ogden’s Connor Howe won the 91st Southeastern Amateur in Columbus, Ga., by chipping in for birdie on the final hole of the 54-hole tournament.

Howe is a rising junior for the Georgia Tech golf team who grew up in Utah and played for Weber High School. He’s been a regular for the Yellow Jackets’ team for the past two seasons.

After posting rounds of 67 and 65 in the first two rounds, Howe was three shots off the pace set by Atlanta’s Will Chandler. After making an eagle and a birdie, he bogeyed 17 and was tied with North Carolina’s Wes Goff heading into the final hole.

Howe hit over the green and faced a 25-foot chip shot, which he sank to win the tournament, at 11-under-par 199.
