If you’re a Potterhead, then this news is for you — the original Hogwarts wizard trio is reuniting to relive their adventures in the magic world in an HBO Max special.

Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson will join Chris Columbus and other cast members to discuss all eight “Harry Potter” movies and celebrate 20 years of Harry Potter.

The reunion, “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts,” will premiere on HBO Max on New Year’s Day.

The special will “tell an enchanting making-of story through all-new in-depth interviews and cast conversations, inviting fans on a magical first-person journey,” according to HBO Max.

Emma Watson spilled her heart on Instagram about “Harry Potter” and the 20th anniversary. “l look at my fellow cast members now and I am just so proud of who everyone has become as people,” she said, going on to thank crew members and fans.

Her post and the HBO Max special include everyone except the creator of “Harry Potter,” J.K. Rowling herself. The author of the series had acted as a consultant for the films and had a close relationship with the actors, too, according to National Review, which is why her absence from this project is strange to many.

No one has explained the reason behind her absence. Rowling has received a lot of social media backlash for her views on cultural issues.
