Former Utah Jazz lottery draft pick Dante Exum has not been in professional basketball since getting waived in October by the Houston Rockets, but that is about to change — although it won’t be in the NBA.

On Tuesday, Spanish power FC Barcelona announced that it has signed Exum to a contract. The team announced that it’s just a short-term deal that will expire on Feb. 28.

Exum, the fifth overall pick by the Jazz in the 2014 NBA draft, has played six seasons in the NBA, many of which were injury-plagued.
