On Sunday night, “American Idol” will reveal the three singers moving on to the season finale on May 23.
Here’s a breakdown of what to expect during Sunday night’s episode.
‘American Idol’ to reveal top 3 singers
- On Sunday, the four singers remaining in the “American Idol” competition will work with singer-songwriter Finneas, the older brother of Bille Eilish, according to the “American Idol” website. The singers will pair up and perform two of Finneas’ hits.
- The top four contestants will also each perform two songs — one inspired by a “personal idol” in their lives and a recently recorded “winner’s single,” according to the show’s website.
- Voting starts at the beginning of the two-hour episode, which airs at 6 p.m. MT on May 16.
How do you vote on ‘American Idol’?
“American Idol” provides three voting options: online at idolvote.abc.com; through “Idol” apps that can be downloaded via the App Store or Google Play Store; and texting a contestant’s corresponding number — given during the episode — to “21523,” the Deseret News previously reported.
Why isn’t Caleb Kennedy on ‘American Idol’ anymore?
Caleb Kennedy, a 16-year-old country singer from South Carolina, is no longer competing on “American Idol.”
The singer announced his departure from the show on Wednesday, after an old video resurfaced online that showed him sitting next to a person wearing a white hood that resembled Ku Klux Klan attire, the Deseret News reported.
- “I wanna say sorry to all my fans and everyone who I have let down,” Kennedy wrote in an Instagram post. “I’ll be taking a little time off social media to better myself, but saying that, I know this has hurt and disappointed a lot of people and made people lose respect for me. I’m sorry! I pray that I can one day regain your trust in who I am and have your respect.”
Who is still competing on ‘American Idol’?
The four remaining singers in the competition are:
- Grace Kinstler
- Casey Bishop
- Willie Spence
- Chayce Beckham
