Thanks to some late rallies by Tristan Mandur and Mitchell Schow, the University of Utah’s golf team is in decent shape after Monday’s first round of the NCAA Men’s Golf Regional in Cle Elum, Washington.

Utah is at 1-under 283 (top four scores each day count) on the par-71 Tumble Creek Club at Suncadia Resort and is in seventh place, but just five shots off the lead.
