Actress Emily Blunt recently hinted that “A Quiet Place Part III” might be a real thing, according to Collider.

When does ‘A Quiet Place II’ come out?

“A Quiet Place II” debuts in theaters on Friday, May 29.

Possibility of ‘A Quiet Place III’

Blunt told Collider that the ending of “A Quiet Place Part II” will make people wonder about a potential third film. She confirmed that her husband and the film’s director, John Krasinski, had ideas for a third film.

  • “He has a whole arc of ideas that could work. I think he just wanted to see how people responded to this one before he fully engaged his brain on the third one. But he has a couple of great ideas,” Blunt told Collider.

What happens in ‘A Quiet Place II’?

“A Quiet Place Part II” reportedly picks up in the moments right after the first film, which ended with Evelyn Abbott (Blunt) and her kids (Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe) ready to take on aliens who had invaded Earth (at least that’s what we know).

Krasinski and Blunt recently explained why the couple decided to make a sequel together. Yahoo Entertainment reports that Krasinski wanted to make a film based around Simmonds’ character because of her performance in the first film.

  • “When John and I first started talking about it, that was always the aim,” Blunt said. “This really should become the kids’ story, in particular Millicent’s story. She’s not only such a powerhouse of an actress, she can carry (a movie). She’s so arresting to watch, and we’d be continuing the idea of somebody with a disability who becomes this weapon for the world.”
  • Krasinski added: “She’s the continuation of my story. Emily feels this one is even more personal to me than the first, which is insane.”
