Drivers in Utah don’t have the best reputation, but they don’t have anything on automobile operators in New Jersey.
That’s at least according to Zach Wilson, the former Corner Canyon High and BYU quarterback who was taken No. 2 overall by the New York Jets in the 2021 NFL draft last month.
On Thursday, Wilson was asked during a media session what the biggest differences were between living back East and living in Draper and Provo, Utah. Wilson first said “it’s not a ton different as far as just the size and the feel,” that there’s not a ton of traffic in New Jersey and that it’s much more green than Utah.
But his comment about less traffic notwithstanding, he then said with a chuckle, “There’s definitely some aggressive drivers here, that’s for sure. Getting used to that. Getting cut off about everywhere you go.”
On a more serious note, Wilson then said, “But really, I feel like I’m at home. I don’t feel homesick. I don’t feel like I’m missing anything. I’m having a blast, and I think the coaches and the players just make it easy to fit in and get going with everything.”
