“A Quiet Place Part II” apparently laid the groundwork for a third film in the trilogy with a few different Easter eggs.

Did ‘A Quiet Place Part II’ set up a third film?

Director John Krasinski told The Hollywood Reporter that he added a few different Easter eggs into the second film just in case he got the opportunity to write a third film.

  • “So a lot of the things I had thought were interesting to think about on Part I ended up being in Part II,” Krasinski told The Hollywood Reporter. “And then on Part II, I learned my lesson very quickly. Any time I had ideas like that, I wrote them down in case there ever is a Part III or a third one. So I would be able to reference some of these things if there is a Part III. And we even went so far as to put in a couple Easter eggs, so that if I did do a third one, they would connect back to the second one.”

Will there be ‘A Quiet Place Part III’ soon?

Yes. There will most likely be the third film. Actress Emily Blunt told Collider that the ending of “A Quiet Place Part II” will make people want to know what happens next — and indeed, that’s true — in the trilogy. Blunt said Krasinski had ideas for a third film.

  • “(John) has a whole arc of ideas that could work. I think he just wanted to see how people responded to this one before he fully engaged his brain on the third one. But he has a couple of great ideas,” Blunt told Collider.

‘A Quiet Place Part II’ debut

“A Quiet Place II” earned $57 million with its debut over the weekend. The film debuted on Friday, May 29, and can be seen only in theaters.
