“Black Widow” will introduce two new stars into the Marvel Cinematic Universe — Rachel Weisz and David Harbour.
Weisz and Harbour, who play Melina and Alexei Shostakov, respectively, will enter the MCU for the first time, joining a franchise that has more than 23 films and three television shows.
But that hasn’t stopped the stars from looking back at the past.
At a recent virtual press conference, reporters asked Weisz and Harbour who they might want to team up with in a future Marvel project — no matter the time period, type of project or story.
Weisz said she would love to partner with the Hulk in a future project. Weisz said her character, Melina, could control the Hulk, so it would be fun to see the dynamic between them.
Meanwhile, Harbour said he’d like to see Red Guardian team up with none of the other Marvel heroes.
“None of them,” he said. “I consider myself so extraordinary. Well, they’re mere pedestrian.”
Of course, he was kidding. He said he really loved the Falcon (Anthony Mackie), who is now Captain America. Now that Mackie’s Sam Wilson is Captain America, it’d be quite a story to see Red Guardian and the new Captain America work together, he said.
“Black Widow” opens in theaters and debuts on Disney+ through Premier Access on July 9.
