BYU football continues to build its 2022 recruiting class, the latest commitment coming from edge rusher Paul Fitzgerald.

Fitzgerald, listed at 6-foot-3 and 235 pounds, attends Thunder Ridge High School in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where he plays defensive end and outside linebacker. Fitzgerald was offered by Nevada before being offered by the Cougars and committing on Wednesday, announcing his pledge via Twitter. He is not currently rated by either 247Sports or Rivals.

Fitzgerald is the second OLB/DE to commit to BYU in the class of 2022. Three-star OLB Noah Moeaki, 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds from American Fork High School, committed earlier.

Fitzgerald becomes the 11th prospect to commit to BYU as part of its 2022 recruiting class.
