The NBA offseason is officially in full swing following Thursday night’s draft, and already the Utah Jazz have been very busy on their quest to go from a very good team to a great one.
On Thursday they traded down in the draft and selected Baylor’s Jared Butler with the 40th pick, and on Friday they traded Derrick Favors to the Oklahoma City Thunder. That was done to help clear some salary to make it easier to sign Mike Conley once free agency starts next week.
Speaking of Conley and free agency, NBA reporter Marc Stein reported Friday that the Jazz are preparing to offer him a 3-year, $75 million deal next week.
So yeah, there’s a lot going on. Keep track of everything going on with the Jazz as well as notable items from around the NBA here throughout the offseason.
