Blake Anderson and company have had nothing but success on the recruiting trail in recent months for Utah State football, with the Aggies securing commitments from 17 prospects for the 2022 class.

Make that 18.

Late Monday night, Brighton High offensive lineman Jacob Reece announced via Twitter that he has committed to Utah State.

Rated a three-star prospect by 247 Sports and a two-star prospect by Rivals — the two major recruiting services — the 6-foot-4, 295 pound Reece had interest from Cal, though his only current scholarship offer is from Utah State.

Reece is only the latest offensive lineman from Utah to commit to the Aggies, following Timpview’s James Aloisio, Herriman’s Kauasi Hansen, Bingham’s Weylin Lapuaho and Green Canyon’s Bryce Radford.

As a junior last season, Reece helped propel Brighton to a 10-1 record and a trip to the 5A quarterfinals, before the Bengals lost to eventual 5A runner-up Timpview.
