In the same year the SEC is expected to officially add Texas and Oklahoma to make it even mightier than it is now, the Utah State Aggies will face a team from that conference.

On Thursday, the Aggies announced that they will face Texas A&M on Sept. 6, 2025, in the Lone Star State.

Yes, it will be an Aggies vs. Aggies matchup.

This adds to a solid number of games Utah State has scheduled against Power Five opponents. In all, the team is now planning on playing one each year between this year and 2029 except for 2026, when BYU is the only nonconference game currently on the docket.

  • 2021: at Washington State (Pac-12)
  • 2022: at Alabama (SEC)
  • 2023: at Iowa (Big Ten)
  • 2024: at Mississippi State (SEC)
  • 2025: at Texas A&M (SEC)
  • 2027: at Oregon (Pac-12)
  • 2028: vs. Oregon (Pac-12)
  • 2029: at Oregon (Pac-12)

The 2025 contest will mark the second time the two Aggie schools will square off, as Texas A&M beat Utah State 38-30 in 2009 at home.
