Utah blew out USC, 47-24, crushing the Trojans’ playoff hopes and winning the Pac-12 championship for the second straight season.

The Utes are going back to the Rose Bowl.

Utah 47, USC 24.

Fourth Quarter

1:55 — Micah Bernard runs for a 23-yard touchdown and he can run all the way to Pasadena. Utah is going to the Rose Bowl. Utah 47, USC 24.

3:24 — Mo Diabate forces the fumble on Caleb Williams and the Utes are smelling roses for the second season in a row.

5:29 — Ja’Quinden Jackson with a 53-yard touchdown run. Jackson got an unsportsmanlike penalty and Jadon Redding misses the extra point, so it’s still a two-score game. Utah 40, USC 24.

6:58 — Caleb Williams eludes the Utah pass rush, Clark Phillips III falls down, and USC completes a 48-yard pass to the Utah 20-yard line. But R.J. Hubert picks off Williams on second and 13 and the Utes have the ball up 10.

10:08 — Cameron Rising to Thomas Yassmin for a 60-yard touchdown. Yassmin was not going to be denied on that touchdown, breaking a few tackles. Utah 34, USC 24.

11:00 — Caleb Williams, heavily limping, leads the Trojans 75 yards down the field for a touchdown It’s Caleb Williams to Mario Williams and here come the Trojans. Utah 27, USC 24.

14:56 — Utah goes up 10 on a 35-yard field goal by Jadon Redding. Utah 27, USC 17.

Third Quarter

6:10 — Another three-and-out for the Trojans.

9:26 — USC goes three-and-out again. Simote Pepa had a sack on the drive. Caleb Williams has looked hurt and was limping a bit coming off the field.

10:33 — Cam Rising with a 57-yard pass to Money Parks on third and 19. Parks shrugs off a tackle and runs to the end zone and Utah takes the lead. Utah 24, USC 17.

12:41 — Gabe Reid sacks Caleb Williams and Utah forces a three-and-out.

Second Quarter

0:02 — Utah stops USC once again and the Utes’ offense drives 81 yards in 1:38 to tie the game. It’s Cameron Rising to Jaylen Dixon for a 4-yard touchdown pass. Utah gets the ball to start the third quarter. USC 17, Utah 17.

3:55 — Ja’Quinden Jackson runs for an 8-yard touchdown and Utah is back in the game. Cameron Rising did plenty of running on that drive, including a fourth-down conversion. Huge series coming up for Utah’s defense. USC 17, Utah 10.

10:34 — Utah’s defense comes up with a major stop. Sione Vaki with a couple of huge breakups.

11:56 — Jaylen Dixon fumbles the ball, the Trojans recover, and USC is threatening to run away with the game right now.

12:11 — Clark Phillips III breaks up Caleb Williams’ third-and-goal pass and forces USC to kick a field goal. USC 17, Utah 3.

First Quarter

2:52 — Utah goes three-and-out.

5:00 — Caleb Williams runs for 59 yards as Utah can’t contain him. It’s Williams to a wide-open Raleek Brown for a touchdown. Two drives, two touchdowns for USC. USC 14, Utah 3.

6:10 — Utah is able to get down to the red zone, but the drive stalls and Jadon Redding makes a 25-yard field goal. Rising completed a few passes to get the Utes down the field, and Utah used Nate Johnson on a rush and as a receiver on the drive. USC 7, Utah 3.
