In a video posted to TikTok on Sept. 29, golden-haired dog Guster helped his owner carry in the Walmart groceries. He happily waddles forward, tail wagging, gripping the bag’s handles between his teeth. The video has over 22.3 million views on TikTok.
Comments on the TikTok praise little Gussy for his enthusiasm to help out. One said, “… currently staring at my dogs wondering where I went wrong and why they don’t help me carry groceries.” Another said, “If he wanted he would ladies 😂😭😭😭😫.”
In a longer version posted on Facebook in 2021, his owner exclaims, “Oh, Guster, you’re such a good helper. Thank you. OK go get some more, Guster.”
The dog picks another grocery bag off the ground by the trunk of the car, and the woman says, “Oh, wow. That’s a heavy sack. Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness. Thank you, Gussy.”
It turns out that Gussy is not the first dog willing and eager to help his owner bring in the groceries. The YouTube channel Fails4Fun posted a compilation of similarly helpful pets assisting their owners. The video is over six minutes long and includes footage of dogs of all sizes trying their best to carry their owner’s things, ranging from grocery bags to baskets to packages of paper towels.
