Utah’s win over Cal on Saturday, coupled with losses by a couple of former top 15 teams, has the Utes rising in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll and the AP Poll, released on Sunday.

Utah (5-1) is now ranked No. 14 overall in the coaches poll and in the AP Poll.

Up next for the Utes is a road trip to USC on Oct. 21. The Trojans are coming off their first loss of the season, at Notre Dame.

Following its blowout loss at TCU, the BYU Cougars (4-2) are no longer receiving votes in the coaches poll, a week after the Cougars had started to look more and more like a fringe top 25 team.

What Pac-12 and Big 12 teams are ranked in the latest Associated Press poll?

Half of the six Pac-12 teams that were included in the AP top 25 rankings last week were on a bye this week. With seven top 25 teams losing, though, there was some shakeup, which included one Pac-12 team — UCLA — re-entering the rankings.

Here’s how Pac-12 teams are ranked, in order, in the Week 8 AP poll:

  • No. 5: Washington (6-0) — up two spots after defeating Oregon.
  • No. 9: Oregon (5-1) — down one spot after falling at Washington.
  • No. 12: Oregon State (6-1) — up three sports after defeating UCLA.
  • No. 14: Utah (5-1) — up two spots after taking care of Cal.
  • No. 18: USC (6-1) — down eight spots after a blowout loss to Notre Dame.

The Big 12 is back up to three ranked teams with Kansas returning to the polls, while the other two flipped positions after Oklahoma beat Texas.

  • No. 6: Oklahoma (6-0) — down one spot after a bye week.
  • No. 8: Texas (5-1) — up one spot despite being on a bye.
