The Utah Jazz fell to 2-4 on the season after a 115-113 loss to the Orlando Magic at the Delta Center on Thursday night.

Here are three keys that contributed to the loss:
- Early foul trouble for a number of the Jazz’s key players forced the Jazz to test their depth. Although during extended minutes for Ömer Yurtseven and Simone Fontecchio in the third quarter the Jazz were able to keep pace with the Magic, fouls remained a problem as the game continued.
- In addition to the foul trouble, turnovers were an issue for the Jazz. After some poorly-timed miscues at the end of the first half, the Jazz never fully recovered enough to be able to pull ahead. Ultimately the game came down to a final possession, but the Jazz fumbled the inbound on the last play, resulting in another turnover and no chance at a final shot.
- With a minute left to play in the first half, Lauri Markkanen fell to the court on his back after tangling for a rebound. No foul was called (except for the technical foul issued to Jazz head coach Will Hardy after the no-call play) and Markkanen came up gingerly from the fall. Though he remained in the game, he never looked like he felt 100% right.
