It was closer in the final minutes than Utah was perhaps expecting it to be, but the 11th-ranked Utes hung on to beat the 22nd-ranked UCLA Bruins in a slugfest Saturday afternoon at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City.

3:39 — Facing a fourth down that arguably would have been UCLA’s last gasp, quarterback Dante Moore connected with Utah native Carsen Ryan for a 45-yard play to give the Bruins new life. Three plays later, Moore found Josiah Norwood for a 17-yard touchdown. On the drive, Moore was 4 of 5 for a whopping 98 yards.
