Tyson and Debbie on "Survivor: Tocantins." (Photo: CBS) THIS WEEK'S SORT-OF NEW EPISODE f "Survivor" shows us still more of Utahn Tyson Apostol. And we would have seen a lot more if CBS didn't blur all the nudity.
That Tyson. He sure does love to walk around naked. And dance around naked.
"I am not the stereotypical Mormon," he says in an episode that recaps the first five episodes and adds some previously unseen footage. "I respect the Church and the people in it, but, for myself personally, you know, there's things I want to do -- not necessarily that are sinning."
Just a lot of naked walking and naked dancing, apparently.
"We'll see what happens when I get home and everyone disowns me," Tyson says with a smile. "I'll probably have to move somewhere else. Somewhere less Mormon-y."
Well, at least he usually smells nice.
"I smell like man today," he tells a tribesmate. "My parents would be so proud. They think I just always smell like flowers and exotic fruits."
But Tyson is a funny guy.
"He's always cracking a joke. One of a kind," Coach says. "That's probably what attracts me to him so much. Not in a sexual way."
Although Tyson is perceived by at least one of his tribesmates as a definite threat.
"Tyson, never ever ceases to amaze me," says fellow survivor Debbie. "Honestly, I think Tyson is somebody everybody better watch out (for). I think Tyson has a real potential to win this game."
There's a regular episode next week (Thursday, April 2). Stay tuned …
