You hate to see it: Disneyland issued a measles warning Wednesday after a guest with the virus visited the park, The Associated Press reports.

What happened: Disneyland said a person infected with the virus visited the park on Oct. 16 and spent the entire day there. The Los Angeles Health Department issued a warning about the problem, too, according to The Associated Press.

Flashback: In August 2019, a teenager infected with measles visited Disneyland, Universal Studios, Madame Tussauds and the Santa Monica Pier, according to the Deseret News.

  • The teenager arrived at the Los Angeles International Airport after visiting New Zealand. She visited Disneyland from Aug. 11 to Aug. 15, then traveled to Universal Studios, Madame Tussauds and the Santa Monica Pier, as reported by The Washington Post.

Tips: Public health officials said at the time that visitors should check their immunization and medical records to see if they’re protected from measles.

  • Measles can create a fever or random rash anywhere from seven to 21 days after exposure.
  • “For those who are not protected, measles is a highly contagious and potentially severe disease that initially causes fever, cough, red, watery eyes and, finally, a rash,” Los Angeles County health officer Dr. Muntu Davis said in a release, according to The Huffington Post. “Measles is spread by air and by direct contact even before you know have it.”
