Star Tours will receive a fresh upgrade to align with the release of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.”
The Star Tours — The Adventures Continue will receive a major update connected to “Rise of Skywalker” at Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Resort, Tokyo Disneyland Park, and Disneyland Paris, according to the Disney Parks official blog.
The update will arrive on Dec. 20 — the day “Rise of Skywalker” hits theaters.
Passengers will now fly to many recognizable planets from the sequel trilogy, including Jakku, Crait and Batuu (the fictional world seen in “Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge”).
The update will include Kef Bir — the ocean moon seen in the “Rise of Skywalker” trailer with Death Star wreckage. Jannah, a human female fighter, calls the planet home, apparently.
Guests will also interact with “Star Wars” characters like General Leia Organa, Kylo Ren, Poe Dameron, BB-8 and more, according to StarWars.com.
Star Tours opened at Disneyland in 1987.
